panel 1. badbrain says, ok, so we now have an idea about intrusion symptoms. what about avoidance symptoms?
panel 2. mainbrain says, basically, avoidance symptoms are exactly what they sount like. a person is either trying to AVOID thoughts and memories of the traumatic event or external reminders of the traumatic event.
panel 3. badbrain says, external like outside?
panel 4. mainbrain says, actually, it means outside of one's self - like after my car accident, I didn't want to drive down the road it happened on. Or, a person might not want to see another person if they remind them of the traumatic event.
panel 5. or, a person might not want to experience feelings that remind them of what happened.
panel 6. badbrain says, sounds stupid to me. rub some dirt in it and be a man! mainbrain shouts, HEY! SOmuchwrong with that comment!
